How do you choose which blogging platform to use?
For a while, the big winner has been WordPress because it is fully customizable and there are a lot of resources to help you learn it.
Now, a simpler blogging platform is taking over — Tumblr, and there’s plenty of debate as to why this is happening.
Some people and companies want to focus less on creating a flashy looking CMS-powered site and more on easily sharing content. I mean, who has time for blogging? The faster you can share what you have to say, the better.
There’s something odd about a WordPress blog where each post is one paragraph, but that’s perfectly normal on a Tumblr blog.
Still, I’d bet that WordPress will remain the platform of choice for long-form blogging.
With WordPress you can create your own community around your blog. With Tumblr, it feels like you’re joining a community.
